Scion is preparing to revitalize its lineup with the debut of not one, but two new models at the upcoming New York Auto Show next month. That much we already knew, but now Toyota's more youthful counterpart has revealed teaser images of both. This will sold as the Yaris Sedan in Canada.

The 2016 Yaris Sedan: A Small Car With Injection Of Style And Great Value For Young Buyers’ Big Lives | Toyota Canada Looks like the Canadian version (Yaris Sedan) doesn't have TSS-C like the Scion iA does.
The Scion iM is a really cool looking car to me. Finally got to see one on local dealer lot and, aside from the black interior, really liked it. Could be a nice replacement for those who pine for the loss of the Scion xA.
I was really interested to learn about the iA and its background. It appears to be the first Scion not built by Toyota. From what I read, the Scion iA is primarily Mazda (although Scion appears to have had a part in the front end styling). It is a sneaky way to obtain a new Mazda2 in the US, where the 2016 redesigned Mazda2 is not expected to be offered--at least not anytime soon. The Scion iA is a restyled Mazda2 sedan, and comes with all the great Mazda driving dynamics. I suspect it is the most fun-to-drive, FWD model with the Scion name on it (I bet the steering is even more sporty-feeling than the FR-S). Have a look at the interior view of the iA--it is pure Mazda. I was kind of surprised (and pleased) to learn about the iA's Mazda origin, since seeing the iM and appreciating its visual design but learning through reviews that it is not nearly as engaging to drive as the new Mazda3 hatch. Although I don't favor a sedan, I think the iA will bring some much needed joie de vivre to the Scion brand and I'll certainly suggest it to anyone looking for a sporty, economical sedan. I wish the iM also had Mazda underpinnings.
