Magazine Readers -- Any you recommend -- got lots of credits for free subscriptions

A few years ago, wifey was whining (opps, hope she doesn't read PriusChat).

Wanted to subscribe to Better Homes and Gardens, Then it was Martha Stewart Living, then it was Three Hags and a Skillet she was wanting (O.K., I might have made up a title or two).

Anyway, went online, found Reward Survey and quickly qualified to get her the magazine subscriptions for free (I usually do the surveys while on hold on the phone).

Thing is, she never reads any of them. I actually end up reading them, and then end up making some complicated recipe that sounded good until you actually get to cooking it.

So, I have a ton of credits. Currently, I used the points to subscribe to Bloomberg BusinessWeek and Kiplinger.

I had a Rolling Stone subscription, but it just ran out. I loved it, but have to find an offer on it again...

Anyway, stupid question, but any particular magazine you are finding is somewhat valuable. Bloomberg is very valuable for my job, and also just for general interest. Kiplinger is great for personal finance and I just love Rolling Stone, but I have points burning in my account and no more Martha Stewart or Better Homes and Gardens.

My dad had a bunch of Natl. Geo.

He also had a bunch of Playboy. I loved Little Annie Fanny when I was 10.

I kept a few of them -- the Natl. Geo, not the Playboys.

We grew up in Southern California. One of the Natl. Geo issues I kept from his stash was an early issue about how valuable land in Orange County where we lived might eventually become....Gee, wish I would had had enough $$$ and foresight at that time to invest...I was 10 years old when the issue came out....

 

Thanks, all. Can't find Natl. Geo as part of the Reward Survey offers, but I did manage to "get" Discover and the Economist.

Rolling Stone is still available, but it says for first-time subscribers only. I guess I could give it a shot anyway, if I want to be unethical, what would I lose?

Now, I only have some $150 in "virtual rewards" to purge.

Martha Stewart is pretty bad, also, but wife's father was featured in one issue, which got my wife all excited about the darn thing, until we actually started getting it delivered.

I quit my subscription to Wall Street Journal about four years ago, just don't have the time to read it and the stack of unread WSJ's was getting scary.

I still get offers to come back about the first of each month. Funny, Martha Stewart never sends me anything!
