The vc_... version is native Windows version. Run it in a Windows command prompt. The "bad address" with the cygwin version is a known problem and has been solved by another user: PriiDash(TM): Enhanced Instrument Panel / Data Logger - Now Open Sourced! | Page 3 | PriusChat To compile the program for Cygwin I have been using NetBeans IDE. I have yet to learn how to do it from the command line. But the IDE is so easy to use that I may put it off forever.

Im having an issue with the Cygwin version....Everytime I click GO it gives me "Error Cannot Open COM8 GUI Stopping* or something close to that. So I then loaded the windows version and voila it runs fine....Tried several times restarting and resetting everything and it just wont work...All of my .txt files are in the right place, everythign comes back fine with xterm. I am running PD2. Thanks for any help!
The name of the serial port under Cygwin is not "COM8", thus the problem. I will look it up and get back to you. From google:
Can someone tell me what sensor the obd port gets the IGN information from? My car is not charging the trac bat and the IGN is not going above 3 to 4 except above 3k rpm or 5 at idle.
For gen 2 Prius car problems please post here: Gen II Prius Care, Maintenance and Troubleshooting | PriusChat to get help. Good luck!
Is there more changelog for source version PriiDash20140411? The last entry in the log I see is dated 2013.
The included readme file is the current changelog. For the latest version I tested for a few months before releasing it.
it took a few seconds to get it, but I understand now. I've found in my changelogs it's helpful to list the release the changes refer to along with the dates of the changes. More experienced open source commiters usually also list the committers name along with the changes and / or patches to help reduce confusion when there are multiple authors working on the code. Just a couple of suggestions for you that I've learned the hard way, if they fit your coding style. Also, is it easy to split out the win source from the linux source. I'd just do it and watch for compile errors if I split out too much but I thought I'd ask in advance for suggestions from the author. And it looks like a nice piece of software.
The parts that are OS dependent are separated by #defines. It should be easy to figure out once you take a look.
I just starting having some weird issues pop up, where the battery would seem to drain very low as well as seem to drain fast and charge fast at times. The HV fan ran very fast and it appears that I was having some sort of battery problem. I got the SX and checked the battery levels, and they all look great. The inverter temps don't look out of place. I'm not really looking for a diagnosis, but rather, is there anything that details what all of the different gauges are and what each of the fields are in the csv? This may aide me in figuring out what is really going on. Beyond the battery voltage differences (which are within hundredths of each other) and the temps, I am at a loss for what to look for next. Thanks, Keith
There is a list here: PriiDash(TM): Enhanced Instrument Panel / Data Logger - Now Open Sourced! | PriusChat for the gauges. The csv is similar. If the title line in the csv is not clear just post here and I will try to answer. Thanks! For the HV battery block voltages you want to record them while driving around with plenty of acceleration and deceleration. Then you can compare them like in this thread: HV battery health check | PriusChat
hello its been a long time since ive popped in 2009prius. my battery is finally giving codes. its been several years since obvious symptoms occurred such as those of the above poster. i now have a triangle and the p code is it 6000?. i would like to replace nodules but need the data priidash provides but is it safe to run the car in this condition? thanks for your advice john Vega S95_Meta ?
if you just turn the car on, leave it in Park, and run PriiDash to collect data, without actually driving the car on the road, then it should be OK I think. Good luck!
