Considering a 2015 Prius 2. Advertised price otd is $20,500 +300 tax so $20,800 OTD.

This price is great, however the price if i take advantage of the 0% apr is $24,267.

Any thoughts? It is obvious I will have to settle for a 1.9% rate, which is annoying they won't offer that price.

Just go to a credit union and get a loan. Take the lower rate. 4k is a huge difference.

So the dealer is correct saying the 0% is not available on special pricing?

Money usually isn't free. Shop around for rates & shorten the term of the loan.

At least here in California the deal to the public is $3K instant rebate OR $1K rebate + 0% financing, so the difference should be closer to that. usually the dealer gets some kick back from financing through TFS as well

I found a dealer that gave the rebate and the 0% financing. Shop around and good luck.

I'm writting this on a crappy i-thingy and I don't have time to pencil it out for you, but there's a reason that most financial advisors will tell you to pre-qualify for a 1.25-percent bank loan (or whatever your locar rate is) instead of dealing with the teaser rate.

    Beware the dealers in SC.
When I was there as a squid, they were horrible.

IIRC, they're unloading G3s on the left coast for 19 and change plus TTL.
    Your deal is close enough.
Go to a CU, or a local or regional (small) bank and see wht their rates are based on your credit.

    Negotiate an OTD deal.

    No 'optional' crap.....

    I give you "X"
    You give me the car.

    Good Luck!
