I have a 2006 Prius and two Cingular RAZR bluetooth phones. I was able to pair up each phone with the car and they work fine. But there's a nasty problem: if the phone you have wasn't the last one used in the car, you get a "Bluetooth connection failed" message when you get in the car. To fix this, you have to drill down in the menus to select a different phone. I was hoping the Prius was smart enough to hook up with whichever phone was in the car. Is there a way to get it to do this, or are we stuck with using the menus to tell it which phone is there, each time we get in the car (my wife and I both use the car).
My recollection of the manual is that there is only one primary phone for auto-connect. However, I don't have two BT phones to help you out.

Usually I just leave it set for my wife's and only switch when she is not driving it for a while. I thought maybe the general select user funtion (main menu) might be a way to avoid the drill down but I just checked, and it didn't seem to recover the phone setting for a different user.
When we got the Prius with Bluetooth, I had a Bluetooth add-on unit installed in my other car (an Acura). Cartoys recommended the Parrot unit and I had that installed. I find that I like the Parrot better than the Prius built-in BT, because it can transfer my whole phonebook at once (in fact it automatically syncs up everytime I get in the car), and it automatically switches between our two Bluetooth phones, all very smoothly and trouble free.

I am in techno overload here. Changed from Cingular to T-Mobile, got 3 family phones, bluetooth headset not to mention a second TiVo that had to be synced to the other...all in one weekend. (And all for free!) See Amazon.com for some incredible deals. Anyway....the phone is a Motorola V360. T-Mobile. I got it synced up to the Prius (2004). I cannot figure out how to send even ONE phone number to the car. I have all the setting right on the Prius--but I cannot figure out where to send on the phone. The T-Mobine guy was flummoxed and sent me to the Motorola guy. He told me to try: go to phone book Pick an address Hit top middle key that gets you to menus Send Contact This did not work. The same menu also has "Share Phonebook entry" Also did not work. I could type them in, but I'd like to get it to work. More importantly....what I really would like to do is use the voice feature on the PHONE through the car speaker to say: call Home or call Dad or whatever. Will this work? (I have the voices set up in the phone.) Anyone who can talk me through this...well...I'll send a nice prize! THANKS Chatters.
