I traded my 2007 Prius in for a 2015 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) a lovely blue. I've had it 2 months. I've had 3 different incidents that have left my car dented/scratched, etc. Is there something about that color that makes the car hard to spot? Or is there a secret cloaking device that gets activated when it's parked? ;-) I'm seriously thinking of having it painted a vivid red. IDEAS???
Bright colors distract and attract people, (including cops and thieves). Red is even worse. You want white or grey to be left alone.
I try to choose wider parking space or park between nicer newer car hoping the driver care enough. If I am stuck between a newer car and a older car, I park closer to the new car but still leaving a reasonable gap.
I tend to park away from others, or find corner spots so that there are bushes or grass on one side of the car and park as close to the curbside with the plants as possible.
Never park next to a two door car since the doors are wider and have to open wider for people to get out. Consider adding a horizontal side door protector. Don't park behind a truck with a hitch ball sticking out.
