I have lurked around here for a while, it is time I posted something. I bought my 05 prius about four years ago with 36k on it. I thought I was going to hate it. Wow was I wrong. I absolutely love my prius. It remained stock until this year when I decided to take the time to make it mine. I started by tinting the windows, then I plastic dipped the mirrors and grill. I plan to install weather tech window guards, heated seat kit, backup cam, projector headlamps, ect.... SAMSUNG-SM-N900A ?
I have to ask, if 4 years ago you thought you were going to hate a Prius, what led you to buy it? Most people don't purchase a vehicle they feel they are going to hate. In my lifetime, budget has sometimes led me to purchase vehicles I was less than enthusiastic about, but I don't think I've ever purchased one I went into thinking I'd hate.
I was shopping for a WRX STI and my wife went with me we found the prius and she loved it. I drove it and it felt a bit under powered for me but the idea of the milage and the lower price swayed me. I have come to find that learning how to drive the car properly has changed the lack of power concern, the power is there it just isn't loud about it. I had concerns about it's handling, I enjoy driving hard and cornering fast, but I have had no problems there either. The prius I own is not the touring so even though it handles as good as it does, I plan on upgrading the sway bars just to get a bit more out of her. SAMSUNG-SM-N900A ?
We were the other way around. I wanted a Prius and my wife didn't. We are moving far from my work (35 mile, 1 hour drive), so saving money on gas won out. She likes the car now. Now I have a car I enjoy driving during that long commute.
I like my Weather Tech deflectors. It really helps to keep the windows down 1 inch when parked to keep the cabin cool.
