Color of Prius bumper protector?

i used to have a good shot of it, but somehow it got lost in the whole posting-to-new-photo-gallery-software thing. that one is listed for the corolla/matrix. the applique is a thicker, glorified sticker... :mellow:

I just put a black one on my car, no photo yet. I got it off E-Bay. The protector itself was labeled as being for a Corolla. It fit just fine. It is also cheaper. I bet there are lots of photos with the black protector on the car. Mine looks fine, not as sporty perhaps but just fine.

I just bought a black one using ebay. Total with shipping and insurance was $34.24. The same one is for sale right now.

I just bought one from my Toyota dealer for $25.07 including tax. It is labeled 04 Prius bumper protection and is part number 00016-47015. Fits 04 to 06. Turn it over and it is labeled Corolla. Black only and looks fine on a super white Prius.

I think the black one will stick out like a sore thumb on the white Prius. It is thicker, though. And compared to the $52 my dealer charges for the clear applique, it's cheaper. But on white the clear one would look better.

 

I have it on a my silver Prius and it looks fine. With all the black trim and the dark lower rear window it will match in. Plus if you get the Weathertech cargo liner in black it will look great.
