Love the touch screen, fun for hours as sat radio plays 60s tune and 'deep tracks,' but cannot for life of me find 'total mileage' on my (very nicely kept) '13 hatchback 4. Thanks in advance for all sugges.
Up to 2010 Prius used roman numerals, but some marketing 'genius' decided that they would call their station wagon the Prius v. (in other markets it is a Prius Alpha or a Prius +, both of which are less confusing. Your 2013 is a Prius Four. 2001 - 2003 was Gen 1 2004 - 2009 was Gen 2 2010 - 2015 was Gen 3 2016 and on is Gen 4
Press the TRIP button on the steering wheel to cycle through the odometer, Trip A, Trip B, DTE/Range and "blank" options on the smaller MID.
Thanks all, so far after only 6 days of ownership and driving, I am fallin' hard for this vehicle. I understand why Prius owners are happy people. Sure, there may come probs in future, but this vehicle is darn amazing. Btw, my profile pic is P-22, the mountain lion who lives in the Hollywood Hills near the Hollywood Sign. He's a lone male who's been photographed several times. In this shot he shows the effects of eating poisoned rodents, P-22 was captured and went thru detox. He's doin' fine since.
Yeah, poisoned rodents will do that to you every time. "Total Mileage" is fleeting unless you are looking for the odometer. Just keep pressing the TRIP button until it cycles to the one you want. Hold the button down & it will zero the counter.
Welcome to the forums. I believe that I saw on the news the other day that P-22 got hit and killed crossing the freeway down there. Too bad if true.
No, that was another puma, this fella is still going strong. There are apparently several running around the hills of Southern Cal. Couple of attacks in pricey Or. Country area, one fatality. They are around but people don't really know they are watching.
Look at your dash upon turning the vehicle off. There should be a little chart there showing you how many miles that trip was, the mpg, and total mileage. It just stays lit about 5-10 seconds, in white letters on black background. E.T.A---interesting story on the cougar.
Also, at least on our 2010, anytime you turn the car off the odometer reading shows, for about 60 seconds. This is regardless of what you have set to display in the trip meters. This is very sensible: the one person that'll invariably want to check your mileage is a mechanic. This way he doesn't have to amble through menus, change your settings. Just turn the car on, then off: done.
You may not want to place a bet on that generality. I think a majority of Prius owners are happy with their Prius. After that? All bets are off.
Oh but from what I've seen they're into hot tubs, kale and good thoughts for everyone. Go Prii Peeps, buy the world a Coke. (I live in So. Cal. and out here we have some real dunderheads on the loose, in gigantic SUVs and monster trucks you need a ladder to ascend, and they drive these and generally act like they are invading Poland, c. 1939.)
