I'm assuming the blower on my 2012 is most likely starting to fail... called dealer and its special order at $170... I'm not paying that for a blower. found some on amazon for about $80 and says its fits 2012 year model.. is this hard to install?
Unsure on the install. However, are you sure a leaf or other debris hasn't snuck past the cabin filter? This happened on a previous car of mine and pulling the filter behind the glovebox & clearing the crap out got rid of the sound.
good question... I'm assuming so since it draws air in from near the passenger wiper and blows it through the same vents. Without that filter in-line theres no telling what it would suck in while unattended.
I'm pretty sure the solar fan is the same one as the AC uses. produces the same noise when passive solar ventilation is active. I think its under the glove box but not completely sure. I'm just gonna wait until I get the replacement to try and check if I can easily replace it.
