Hey guys, I just bought a used Prius. Obviously I'm trying to do some minor tweaks to make it look as good as new. One of the most visible things was discoloration of these Gasket-ish things in between the door and around the wheel wells. I've looked at multiple Prii and they don't even have them. My questions are: -Did the previous owner put those on themselves? -Is this done often? If so, where can I get new ones? -Are they necessary? Thanks! ~Cassie
They are a dealer installed accessory - color matched door edge guards. Some dealers install them on all the vehicles on their lot, so they can charge the customer a little bit extra. You can remove them, or you can replace them. Up to you.
