I've searched but didn't find the answer to this question - is it possible to change the screen so that your current MPG is displayed? My 2010 Prius hatchback has an indicator that gives you an idea of current MPG, but the v doesn't. I've looked in settings and don't see anything.
How about try to toggle the "DISP" button on the right side of the wheel and it pages through: "<blank>" "SET" - resets indicators "INSTANTANEOUS MPG" - 1 second intervals "AVG MPG" - since last reset, and "DISTANCE TO EMPTY" - current tank
My button on the right is blank. No wording, just arrows. I can access a Settings menu from it, but my options are LANGUAGE UNIT MAINTENANCE SYSTEM POP-UP DISPLAY METER SETTINGS INIZ. I looked at the options under each one and do not see INSTANTANEOUS MPG. I have a 2015 v Four.
I've looked but haven't found anything. There is an Eco app, but that's hardly convenient or safe (have to look down at the Nav screen rather than up at the main display).
Kermit, the different info displays are in there, it just sounds like you are stuck in the settings section of the dash display. You can cycle left and right using the steering wheel buttons to get to the other sections of the menu, and then up and down to cycle through the options for that section. Left and right moves between audio, info, settings, etc. switch it to the info page (small i in the top corner for info; settings shows a gear). From the info section, up and down flips between the hybrid indicators, eco points, instant mpg, etc. The trip button changes the odometer display mpg. When ODO us up, the mpg beside it is your average since starting the car.
Thanks emm0119 - those additional screens have some good info. What I was hoping for was a view like the Gen III hatchback provides - the ability to see the Hybrid System Indicator and the current MPG, at the same time. In the Prius v, it appears that it's one or the other, not both.
