It was working fine for awhile.
Problem started today. Samsung galaxy s4 shows paired but no bluetooth connection

Never had this issue until the 5.1 update.

I have to fix this. Any help would be great.

I updated both my iphone and vehicle, went through successfully. Thanks to the idea of DUN/PAN, i also tried to tethering my internet without usb connection, and it works perfectly. Did not know about it before. Basically connect your internet through bluetooth and iphone's hotspot. Your vehicle setting will ask for login and pw to make connection. However, the bad news is that the update is not that impressive. The only thing i'm hoping for while charging using usb connection is that it doesn't automatically turn on iphone music. That's a noticeable bug that annoyed the hell out of me.

And something fun I learned the last couple of days. Voice recognition when enter destination on my vehicle is quite impressive. Hate it when you're driving and it won't allow you to input address, but now I realize the voice control is a better solution, take less time to enter all the digits as well. Life is good again.

I am at crash reboot number 3. The first two times happened while I was browsing the new apps. I didn't even press on any apps. I was still in the menu. The third time happened inside Pandora 1 minute after the song started playing. Crash reboots were rare before the update. If I get anymore I might look into downgrading back to 3.2

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3, and didn't need to set up DUN/PAN -- when I go into Bluetooth Paired devices, I can select "connect for internet" and the Entune apps, map traffic updates, etc -- all work without plugging in through USB. I don't know if this worked with 3.20 or not...

All but headaches since the 5.1 Entune Update.

I went as far as reinstalling 5.1, deleting and then pairing car and phone bluetooth again to no avail.

It will connect for a few minutes and then car bluetooth will disconnect. Phone will still show status as paired.

I called Toyota Support and gave them my case number and they are stomped.

They will have me scheduled with a dealer to resolve my problems.

Now it's just a waiting game.:(

Dealers typically don't know squat or Jack about Entune. I went to mine in Poway, California; and they referred me to Toyota Care ... who referred me to a dealer. If it wasn't for this board, I would have given up.

    >>provider's username and password??<<
For me, on the AT&T network, I used my hotspot name and password. Your results will vary -- and I bet a buffalo nickle that Toyota Care doesn't know about the DUN/PAN option. I barked about this since I bought my PC3 in March 2013 ... They make fine cars, but the software aspect, kinda sucks.

Well, got it working for now. Bluetooth is finicky.

I think what might have fixed it was that I deleted the pairing in the car's bluetooth and then I deleted the pairing on the phone.

I then had the bluetooth on the car and the phone on discovery mode and paired the phones.

So far so good. Hopefully that took care of the problem. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

    Thanks for all the input.

Don't want to jinx it but I think we finally fixed the problem.

I performed clearing the cache by going into recovery mode.

    I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4.

Working now for a couple of days. Cross fingers.

Anyone notice a problem with making calls since the update? I don't do many so I just noticed today that it makes a bizarre clicking sound when dialing & then the voice on the other end is all garbled. Anyone else?

    iPhone ?

Having an issue with my upgrade, apparently my system has never been upgraded, was on version 1.8.4. When I inserted the USB drive, it prompted me to upgrade from 1.8.4 to 5.1.0 and I clicked Yes, it then goes to a black screen which flashes a Please Wait every once in a while but after an hour I never seen a progress bar and it has not completed. Any ideas?

The only things I can think of is to make sure your USB drive has no other files on it except for the Toyota files, and make sure the car is fully powered up and in ready mode--not in accessory mode-- prior to inserting and attempting upgrade; make sure you leave the car in ready mode throughout the process. If all else fails, format your USB drive, download the update, and try again.

You could try updating to 3.2 first.
I just verified that this download link is good - the file for 3.2 there exactly matches the one I used.

I found the issue; I was using a older USB stick, 4GB, may have been USB 1.1, not sure. When I put the software on a newer 32GB stick it installed fine in about five minutes.

Thanks for the advice, happy I can now listen to Slacker in my car. :)

    The new update doesn't deliver.

For example. Listen to an MP3 file: stop the car/turn off--restarts the file. I am a podcast listener so that means I will loose my place. The ultimate fail -- again -- from Toyota. The previous version did not have the same issue.

The 800 line is of no help.

Wish I'd read this post before I updated. I ran into exactly the same problem, and now find my sound system completely unusable for the only way I use it. I immediately tried to downgrade back to 3.2 and got the message that downgrades are not allowed.

I submitted the following tech support request via the Toyota website. The auto-responder assigned me an incident number and promised a response in reasonably short order. The section below is the text of my submission; hopefully this is succinct and clear. I will update this thread when I get a response; if anyone else has additional information about how to deal with this problem, please post it here.

Dogwood, please keep us posted. I'm noticing an entune problem, and am on 3.1, looking to upgrade to see if it fixes things. Hope things work out for you!

I stay out of entune, which is a joke.

Only plug in my phone for juice. Otherwise it's bluetooth for Pandora and calls.

The rest is dead to me.
