Ohio Pricing for Prius 2 ttl math

Here in LA it's the same price 19900$ plus tax let's wait until the release of 4gen then the price will drop maybe to 19000$

But from my personal experience toyota SM was the best for price & customer service

 

TRUECar says your MSRP is $25,000 but Toyota's Web site says it's 24.2.

Probably delivery fees.
I'd tell them to keep the $25 mats, shove the doc fees and offer 21.5 flat......however they want to write it up.
Leave them your email address and tell them to send you a copy of the PO when they're ready for you to come pick up the car.

If you're smart (and it sounds like you are) you're already pre-approved through a Credit Union for the 21 Thou.
If you're trading a car in for this one, I'd look a little more carefully at the deal.
21.8 is a pretty skinny deal, but Ohio is in the rust belt and I'm thinking that with the 16's coming out they'll offload the '15 for your asking price.
This isn't the worst time to buy a new car (March through June is) BUT there are a lot of back to school cars that are still being bought.

In NJ gas is as cheap now as it was in March. If you aren't picky about color and don't NEED the car NOW throw out your offer and wait. Prius inventory doesn't move when gas is cheap. The 2016s will be arriving shortly. It's time to squeeze the dealer.

 

I have recently been searching for best available pricing currently available on a new Prius Two. Generally I am finding this model is in low supply at dealerships. The Toyota holdback is reported to be 2% of base MSRP, $484 for Prius Two. The best price found on TrueCar seems to be the Chicago region with a $2500 incentive and somewhat lower regional fee, but also found their pricing hides that they include the recent grad and military rebates. Without the two extra incentives the price comes to ~22,200 before doc and TTL. I don't believe dealers are selling at a loss with relatively low inventory, more inventory on order, and new model out a few months. I am not aware of any step incentives that would allow dealers to sell vehicles below cost yet make money back for the dealer. I believe some dealers may have demo models or higher test drive mileage models listed, which may be okay but could explain a lower than cost price and give cover to a limited loss leader price. Some may be reporting prices without mentioning a trade-in credit which can be used to manipulate a sales price. Dealers may be in competition to increase their upcoming allocations which will sell at full profit. Am I missing something here?

I would really like to hear details (incentives applied, miles, color, doc/misc fees) of any recent purchases.

 

If you're really waiting for a used Prius, and not in a hurry... might want to wait until the Gen4 2016 models come out ... seems likely that many Gen 3 owners will be looking to trade in for the newest toy which would create extra supply of used Prius.
