That's because everybody is used to having g the dash instruments behind the steering wheel, toyota chose the better place to put it .
Right in the line of sight !

That looks to me like a reflection off the side window from a video light to the car's front-left.

Near the base of the front wind shield makes sense, but I'm not generally looking at the right-side shoulder while I'm driving. So, in front of the driver near the base of the wind shield would be best (excluding a true HUD).

I think that this is the best location provided the steering wheel can be set so that it doesn't cause too much obstruction. The best implementations also have a long visual distance so that shifting and refocussing the eyes from the road can be minimized. IIRC, the Gen 2 Prius has a small display of key info that does this well.

Wow, what a surprise! Front end very sharp, the back is somewhat similar to G3 with the exception of the tail light of course. Wouldn't mind that at all!

When will the G2 Prius v be released?

I like the wheels on the gray Prius better, not sure about the pointy nose.

They look like really sharp Prius. So much for all those who overreacted previously.

So were Toyota listening and removed the superfluous wheel covers? Or were they just removed for transport?

I wonder how expensive it is to ship two cars in a transport aircraft. Those in Frankfurt better appreciate them!

I think wheel covers on trim 1 & 2 are fine, but 3 & 4 should have a different wheel, (e.g.. a slightly modified PIP wheel), 5 has the 17" with black inserts. Will see!

A little of the roofline from this concept!

Silver Prius has no fog lights,so I'm guessing the gray prius is an higher equipped option !

I can see a little bit of the black insert in the wheel of the dark gray Prius 5.:)
I also thought the bottom part of the tailights integrated into the bumper were just reflectors, but according to this picture, the whole thing is lit.

Then someone needs to explain them to me.

The car looks just fine to me overall, but the lower side cutouts in the front and the tail lights still look weird to me. Those headlights look like thousand dollar devices if they need replacement.

Looks like a clown car to me, the front end, lights, sharply creased hood, bizarre plunging tail lights, all of it a turn off. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but there's a sense of desperation in this design. And this car is our raison d'être. I'm sure it'll catch on, but it's over the top, no like.

    The rear view:
The tail lights make absolutely no sense to me.
And look at the enormity of the blind "spot." A detection system will be required to warn drivers of cars off either rear quarter. I believe the Camry has such a device in the rear view mirror?

Remember that these are likely Euro-spec Prius, so I wouldn't take anything that's on them as gospel for what we'll be equipped with in North America.
