Ive only had the car for a year. Ive put 10k miles on it. Previously i used firestones kendal part sythetic 5w30. Yesterday i swapped to 0w30 full synthetic. I also remove my air intake resonator. I wish i could find out a way to seafoam the engine via a vaccum hose to get some of this crud out
Be careful with the Seafoam. It's great stuff, but you may wind up killing your catalytic converter. Fortunately, Alabama probably allows you to replace it with a used unit unlike some of the more oppressed states that check into such things. The throttle body was pretty fodded up, but the injectors are obviously OK otherwise your car would not be running, and if you're getting decent mileage, you may cause more damage than you're trying to repair. Good Luck! Hope you make it to 300K!!
Wow! What a difference 0w20 full synthetic, throttle body and maf clean, and removeing the resonator will do. I averaged nearly 80mpg for 17 miles earlier
