I'm at 94,000 miles today - anyone have more miles on their PIP? 2012 PIP - Classic Silver, Base Trim, 17-in Lexus CT200h rims [/IMG]
Something didn't work right with last post . How many miles do you think a PIP Could go for, before any major service, I mean like some major component needing replaced. Or is the jury still out?
We have to all be envious of Irv Gordon, met him once years ago, at a Volvo Meet, when I had a P1800 like his. He did have his engine and what not Rebuilt a few times, but WOW ! The car has survived. In 2002, Gordon appeared on TODAY after putting a world-record 2 million miles on the odometer of his cherry red 1966 Volvo. He recently logged in 3 million miles....
I had two P1800 and one P1800es Plus I had a rare P 210 panel wagon, just think of a 544 made into a wagon. All Volvos...
anyone ever cut the top off and make a ragtop? it was such a neat car compared to the sedans of the time.
Not that I know of, one guy cut the top off a 144, he took it out on dry days. One guy I know way back , took the top off a 60's big Plymouth station wagon, neither had ragtops hehehe
Well that PiPs young...wait til you get close to warranty 150k miles. Tell you what, that's not gonna sell in a non-CARB state, you'll have to keep it in CA w/ HOV tags Priceless...for everything else MasterCArd
~98500 miles on mine.... Debating if we want to buy a new commuter car so she lasts a few more years beyond the loan or just ride up her miles. We have had her about 2 years 10 months.
