Seems like a solid purchase but would prefer to hear from current owners first. anyone have this unit?
wow, that does seem like a good deal. I'd be curious if anyone has purchased that as well. There's also an option on Amazon from SimpleSoft (Amazon.com: OEM Replacement DVD Touchscreen GPS Navigation Unit For Toyota Prius 2010/2011 With Radio (AM/FM),iPod Interface,Bluetooth Hands Free,USB, AUX Input,US & Canada Map,Plug & Play Installation: Electronics) Is there anyone out there that has experience with that unit? I don't see it mentioned anywhere in these forums, or anywhere else really.
Has anybody got some experience with this Pumpkin brand for the Prius on Ebay? 2Din In Dash 8"Car DVD Stereo GPS Ipod mp4 Bluetooth F/Toyota Prius 2009-2012 | eBay I am keen to buy it. But there are still some questions open: - I don't like the GUI interface. Does anybody know if the GUI is easy to change / update it? - Any body got some experience with the DVB-T television function? - Would it be possible to mount an external microphone? - Where to mount the GPS and DVB-T antenna? Outside the car is for me no option. At the moment the company is closed due to the China's New Year. I will also ask these questions to the company Pumpkin and keep you all updated. Hope any of you has got already some experience with this product.
I unfortunately never purchased onse since there wasn't enough feedback to feel comfortable making the purchase. Still very interested though
I did not yet bought one. Because I prefer the other version from the brand Roadrover (model C7065TP). For what I have been reading has got the Roadrover version (6" display) better quality parts and for me important, I can change the user interface (I would like to make my own startup screen with a nice EV Plug-In Supply interface. I have found out that the Roadrover is sold in the USA under the brandname: Otto Navi, and I think also under the name Rosen Navigation System(model DS/DE TY1070)? The disadvantage of the Otto Navi is that it is still using the older 400 mHz processor. And I would like to have the Roadrover with the 600 mHz processor. But I can't find a seller in Europe. Otherwise I have to order it direct in China. Anybody a good suggestion where to buy it?
Hi everybody, I received mine last week and installed it yesterday evening. Originally I already had the touch-screen 2-din stereo/gps system on my 2010 Prius, but I wanted to have a more complete and connected system (for 400 dollars, it's a gift I can afford) The removal of the original system was very easy. The installation of the new one (after have transferred the metal lateral brackets from the old to the new one) was easy too. Except that I was unable to re-plug all the original wires... I still miss the radio antenna (Toyota = square vs Pumpkin = round), the GPS antenna and the rear camera (I guess I'll have to macgyver something to make the camera work) I've sent a message to the reseller, and I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, all the other functions work great: bluetooth music (from my Lumia phone I was unable to connect to the Toyota system!!!), wifi connection (youtube, etc.) and CD/DVD player.
