Radio panel is frozen after engine start. Radio, GPS, Internet etc...do not work. This problem was there since day 1 of the purchase. Toyota case manager will call and if they cannot fix that the I'll file a lemon law claim. Took it to two dealers and they said Toyota cannot send them the radio because they do not make them and there is no date. The second dealer said part will be in on June 5 and on June 5 they said part will be in on Aug 15. The service manager was kind of embarrassed when he told me that. Anybody have similar experience?
Yes, 2015 Prius v owners have seen touch screen problems. Do your buttons to the sides of the screen still work? Read all about it here; Prius v Touch Screen | PriusChat Press and hold on/off knob to reset head unit and touch screen.
The buttons on the sides still work but after the engine starts the panel buttons are not responsive. Will try your suggestion to reset.
I think all the levels have the touch screen radio now? I really wish they'd go back to knobs and sliders, for all the radio and ventilation controls, as much for safety as anything. FWIW, we had a stove that became a brick, for similar reasons. Nothing wrong with it, except the electronic display, which would set us back virtually the price of the oven, to replace. Something is wrong with this picture.
My 2012 v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) did this in winter, 2015. Dealer could not duplicate the problem but Dealer told me the procedure is to swap out the unit with a rebuilt one. Solved my problem.
