I just moved to LA, and everyone in LA need a car because of the terrible public transportation. For the first car, I wanted to buy a new car, so that I and the car could grow together. I only got $23,000. So I was in the dilemma about which car to choose, Honda fit, Prius c 3 or Prius 2. After trying these cars, Prius 2's space and high tech made me sure that it is the one! The quietness of engine makes driving so comfortable, I really love it! May be it is the new generation's reason, I got a great discount($2,000 discount & $2,000 rebate). At first I worried that Prius maybe slow because many people said Prius have acceleration problems. But I found it is fast enough for city drive. It's happy to find that so many Prius owner here! Congrats on the new car. You will soon learn that driving a Prius is a new and different experience from driving a "car". It's not the same experience for everyone, but it's certainly different. Enjoy, and as a twist on the old saying goes: Happy Hybriding!
Congrats! I got my 2015 about a month ago and I too got the $2500 in incentives! on top of another discount. I already done quite a few mods to my Prius and it hasn't even been a month yet! tore apart the headlights and tossed in full Lexus units inside. Tore apart the interior and installed a 2014 Subaru mirror, and a hard wired dash cam. Also amp and speakers coming in the mail. Did full LEDs, etc. It's a fun car to mess with! Nice color =) Sometimes I wish I had gotten that color.
