Hello from a new Prius owner. I use Torque on my other car so I am bit familiar with app. Here is my current Prius setup in Torque app. Timing - i aim 18° on acceleration and 14° when doing high speed glide. This is the info from cleanmpg forum. My most important gauge to achieve best fuel economy. Revs - trying to keep them bellow 2500 on acceleration. I can see when the engine is shut down HV Power - i use this when going from a standstill. If I am gentle (bellow 10kW) on acceleration I can stay in EV mode. Coolant - no need to explain. HV Soc - i use "tower" view on my Prius MFD so I don't have to switch views Accel Deg - how much I am pushing accelerator pedal, stil experimenting on this one Speed - have this here so I have everything one one screen. No need to refocus my eyes on cars speedometer Feel free to comment. So far I have covered 250 miles and I am doing 45mpg. I commute daily to work 10 miles, takes 35-45 minutes to reach my destination. Same in the afternoon.

Very nice screen, I think I'll custom one of my screens the same way (with your permission The only problem which I still have is a trouble with connection and pairing my BT devices. I suspect poor quality of the cheap ELM OBD II made in China.
How did you get HV power? The PID set I used (from here: http://goo.gl/DmSzaL) has voltage and current independently, but I'm not sure how to combine the two PIDs for power.
Zax, I'm not hypermiling like you are. I use Torque to try and predict the condition (or remaining life) of my nimh traction battery. Basically I like to worry. Reading all the red triangle stories helps to. Delta V under load (or charge) is a potential indicator of a weak or high impedance cell. Delta V at low SOC is an indicator of imbalance or a weak cell due to capacity loss. I've read here that sustained delta > 1.2 V or spikes > 2.0 V will throw codes. Here are my Torque gauges.

hieronymous, most here use usbseawolf2000's PIDs. See Gen2 Prius: Custom PIDs for Torque (Android App) with formulas | PriusChat He's got a PID called "HV Battery Power (HP)", but I'm not watching power. Amps are what stress things. Take a look at the PID file in a spreadsheet and you'll see how to make your own PID if you want. Since this thread started out on a hypermiling theme it might be good to point out that keeping battery current or power to a minimum should result in efficient driving.
Thanks, but it was jkenny23's PID reference, not mine (see above). I keep my HV battery current to a minimum by maintaining steady cruising speeds as much as possible - I use cruise a lot, and SoC sits on 60% +/-1 most of the time. By keeping good spacing in town I can use cruise a lot there too; at slow speeds (25-30) the car builds SoC back over 50% after EV, whereas without cruise EV cuts back in at 45%, so EV is cutting in and out twice as often.. My most useful PID at present is HSI. I have a high warning on it at 95%, so that it flashes that I'm nearly into the Power Zone.
I try to keep to 5 or 6 gauges that show me information that isn't readily available in the HUD and which either helps me drive better or eases my concerns about something. With that I'm currently looking at: * Cruise Control set speed (I didn't realize how great this info would be until we bought a new Subaru and it had a display for this info). * State of Charge * HV Battery Cooling Fan Speed (I use histogram display just so I can tell if there's a blockage issue I need to address) * A/C power draw * HV Battery Pwr (+/-)
I find 6 is the best number for one page although I have a second dashboard page with the main stats module - thats the easiest one to get multiple stats in one gauge. The chart ones are great but seem to reset on each trip.
hello members, is there any way to alter cruise control speed limits. My prius 2013 sets at min of 40 Km/h and max speed limit with cruise control is 115 Km/h. I'm looking for any possibility of altering these limits may be some PID possibility? expert advice needed please
