Hi This is my first post. I just purchased a Prius C - Model NHP10R i-Tech HBK ECV - year 2014. I've been told that there are no headlight protectors available for the Prius C (Toyota Part no PZQ1452080) for my model of car. (see attachment) The reason I have been given is that the HID globes run too hot for the headlight protectors. Don't really understand how this impacts the headlight protectors - guessing the headlamp may overheat if covered. Hopefully someone can help and can confirm this - also if someone has any advice and alternative options to protect the headlights that would be great. Also I am in Australia. Thanks.
They don;t offer anything like that via oem in North America, would think distorts the lens a bit. i would go get some 3m type or similar "clear bra" protective film if you're worried. another good point is toyota sells the lens seperate of the housing in case yours gets too badly damaged.
Closest thing i've seen is the illegal smoked ones that were pretty popular 10-20 years ago. SM-N910T ?
