I'm looking to swap out the ugly antenna on my new Prius v 2015 with this one I found on eBay. Anyone knows if it will fit? It says it's for a Prius 2013... for the price, I thought it would be cool to try it out! Thank you!
The center photo offers supposed measurements. I'd be hesitant if only because the price is so cheap and it's made in China. But if you look at it as a "cheap" gamble? You haven't got too much to lose I guess. But on the other hand, you've invested into a brand new vehicle. So I guess my logic is why go cheap on the antenna? Do you really want the potential slightly off color match or waste of time if it doesn't work well? I think I'd just pony up the extra 90-100 dollars and do it right the first time.
You have a very valid point... the issue is that I had to cough up 4K in penalty for an early trade in (the worst car I've ever driven), so I'm trying to save on some "easy mods"
It sounds like it's just a decorative shell with no antenna components: "Blank Radio Shark Fin Antenna" "This Shark Fin Antenna is only for car decoration purpose."
Good Catch. LOL! Because that isn't going to work well. You know...the NOT really being an antenna part. Does explain why they are so cheap.
Got my answer... searched on Amazon and another seller resells them under the Benzee brand and someone with a Prius posted this! I'll save money and just keep my ugly antenna. Not spending 150$ USD on shark fin!
