I cant get my cd out of the unit, it open and closed the radio but i think its stuck, how do i remove it?
hello, new to this forum. My jbl 4 disc player wont eject cd's either. I read somewhere that if you disconnect the ground you need a passcode to reset the player. Some kind theft deterrent. Is this true? I just got the car used from a dealer and do not have that info, unless its in the owners manual or something. any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance Don
I've had the battery disconnected beaucoup times in my Gen 3, and the JBL changer has never asked for a password or complained in any way. -Chap
No, there's no code required after battery disconnect. You're maybe thinking of Honda, some models have that, a royal pain, btw. Best to afix a sticker with the code in the glove box: no one would want to steal the stereo I think, and the thing is a #&*#$ brick if you lose the code.
thank you very much, ChapmanF Am gonna try it today. I just bought the car and the cd player went bonkers on the way home. Also the screen got stuck in the open position but has since closed, cd's are still stuck. is removing the fuse the same as removing the ground?
does anyone know if removing the fuse would have the same effect on the cd unit as disconnecting the ground from the battery?
