Prius THREE - all moldings are dis coloring

    Not sure what you call them but all the original moldings are getting dis colored. These are the strips on both sides of the Prius that line up all over the sides that are sort of plastic and glued to the car. Not sure what they're called but they are yellowing from the sun. I take great care of this beast but these moldings are fading and dying. Anyone know how I can replace them. [​IMG]

    I attached a pic of just the rear door but all the moldings look bad. Against classic silver no good. Thank you in advance and apologies if this was posted elsewhere I could not find answers.

    Those moldings are not original, the factory does not install anything of that sort. They are aftermarket accessories installed by a dealership or previous owner, probably to reduce door dings.

    Can you simply pull them off? An adhesive residue might be left behind and require some other cleaning efforts. Or simply cover it with a new aftermarket accessory product.

    It's moulding. Thus the discoloration.

    Thank you all. I picked this car up brand new at a dealership. That was probably what fuzzy was stating. Not sure where I can get replacements. Anyone have a recommendation.
