Im shure the payment differs due to down payments but just as a general comparison state to state country to country.. Mine is $440.50 a month. After $3000 down
It's about $475 a month. Total was about $31,000 with options, extra warranty, leather seats and Poly Bra. I got about $4k trade in for my Jeep (Damn GM/Chrysler and their employee pricing program) and didn't put that much more down. It's actually not all that different from what I had when I was paying for my Jeep, so it's been no big deal. The big surprise however was my excise tax bill. It was far lower than I expected.
$0.00 monthly payment, we paid cash. Would have been $465 per month. We put our monthly "payment" in savings each month and appreciate our Prius all the more.
I don't make car payments. I never have. When I was really poor I had no car. Later, when I could afford to do so, I saved up first, and then bought a car for cash. Drove one for 13 years, the next for 15 years. Now that I have money I don't have to save specifically for a car. I have never borrowed money. It's a chump's game.
$0 also. Quite a rush to write a check for that amount (at least to me). I donated my old car to charity.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusguy04 @ Apr 26 2006, 11:16 AM) </div> I got $7500 on my Camry trade-in, put $8500 additional down, monthly is $251 (5.7% for 60 mo).
Traded in my 97 Mazda Protege for 2500 and wrote dealer a check for the balance. Paid cash for the 97 Mazda in 97. Don't like paying interest if I don't have to.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusguy04 @ Apr 26 2006, 10:16 AM) </div> $6000 trade in, $350/month required, but I pay $400.
Got my 2006 package #8 for $29 and change out the door and put down $11k on it financed through the dealer, but not through Toyota, and got a 5.3% rate (this past Monday 04-24-06). Payments are $321 a month for 5 years. (60months). But we are selling some other stuff and when we get that money we should be able to get a good chuck of it paid off, and then finish the rest within 2 years. phil
no down payment, no trade in, 6 month deferment, payment is well under $500 but we pay whatever we've got at the end of the month, every month.
