I am about to purchase a 2015 Prius V Three, but the 2015 Rogue SV with Nissan Connect is still in the mix. I had a pair of questions about the Prius V's USB and Infotainment System. 1. In the test drive, we only found 1 12V DC and 1 USB input. I have two teenage boys and on long trips, the need to power handheld devices is strong, can I power more than 1 device with the USB port somehow? I assume I can use a dual plug for the 12V. 2. Does the Prius Infotainment system allow for apps to be sent to the screen from my smartphone using like Android Auto, the way the Nissan Connect system does?
We dual USB each of the two (lower dash, left rear hatch sidewall) 12VDC outlets, plus the native USB (on a v Five). With or without using Toyota's 'Entune' app, the v Five NAV head picks up Bluetooth networked info from a smartphone including internet, text messages, audio. Or USB it. Not sure of what Nissan offers.
there is two (2) 12v plugs on the v, well at lest there is on my wife's 2014, same as on my 2015 Persona.. There should be one in the arm rest area where the USB plug is located and one next to your right knee is the console area...
No direct way to mirror the screens. The Toyota entune app has it's own fixed screen features received from data from your phone's internet connection.
I always though thats whatever apps are on the Entune screen are it? I don't think new ones can be downloaded?... But you can control The Entune from the app on your smart phone though if plugged in Via USB, plus you can use it as an app by it self on your phone, but the apps aren't the greatest so I've found Google and or Siri to be better for my needs..
