It appears it was just vandalism since there doesn't seem to be any evidence to support the perpetrator even bothered getting into the car (even though my Weathertech floor mats are literally the only thing of value in my car). Good to know the dealer-installed aftermarket alarm doesn't work on windows. I guess the glass company that my insurance provider uses does not have some part for the C in stock, so it'll take a few days to get repaired.
You don't have to use the provider your insurance company suggests, they will pay any company you use (or should).
* Live in an area where you don't have to use much if any heat, and little AC * Put better than OEM tires on the car * Put more air in the tires you have * Drive a steady speed and one that is lower than the maximum speed limit in your state * Buy 100% Gas (avoid ethanol) * Drive with load technique * Don't use friction brakes unless it's an emergency. Regen or glide instead. and so on.
Sorry those are my Prius Plug-in numbers, and not great ones since I don't bother with MPGe, but I keep all the details in case Fuelly ever does better tracking for electric miles vs gas miles, real MPG on the plug-in is about 58 in gas mode. I did get 68 MPG on one tank with my Prius C (490 miles), but it was driving in super terrible traffic with ideal conditions for MPG, but incredibly boring. I don't track my Prius C MPG since it gets filled up by others in my household. Generally I think I would average 55 MPG when not hypermiling.
