The hybrid engine is a marvel of technology, with the electric motor and gas engine operating independently. The center-dash LCD shows a colorful but initially confusing chart; you can see whether the engine and/or batteries are powering the car and whether the engine or regenerated braking power is recharging the batteries. The Denso navigation module is surprisingly disappointing. The premium sound system, on the other hand, does a fine job of overcoming road noise. Bluetooth synchronized quickly with a couple of test phones. Bottom Line: The Prius offers great fuel economy, especially in the city. The hybrid engine is a technical marvel, but the Denso nav system is poor. Bluetooth is available in some options packages.
In PC Magazine's first Digital Drive Awards, the HCH was the category winner the Prius was the runner up. The article will not be available online until April 25, though.
I recently placed an order for a Prius w/Nav but can still change my package. Can anyone tell me what the issues are with the Toyota nav ? Thanks!
the company isn't he quickest at updating their data.. replacement/updated dvds cost too much. some some addresses are wrong.. some streets are either still..(old ) or are not (new) on the map. but.. hosues are done by a block listing... on one side you have 1-10.. well.. it will list if differently if the block is 1 mile long or 10... it doesn't take in account for size of property well.
