    anyone managed to install an android auto compatible head unit in their prius yet??

    Tethered to phone data or WIFI in the garage!

    It is an Android Auto 4.4.4 HeadUnit, later when available will update to 5.0L. I have Chrome browser and GoogleNow!

    One member just sold the exact unit: New 8" Android headunit for pruis Gen 3

    Follow the thread link in post #2 for all information including videos, very easy plug and play installation!

    Hello. I just got the new pumpkin Android 5.1 lollipop and installed it and it is not working did you have any issues installing yours? Thank you in advance.

    You need to google. I don't know what HU you have. I'm assuming you have an android unit.. Some people are able to add android auto with a dongle, $50 -$100. Some of us have had luck with a program called head unit reloaded
    You install it on your HU. There is a nominal charge.
    Buying a new HU probably makes the most sense

    I installed a JVC kW m740bt full Android auto/ apple carplay head unit . You just need a JVC to Toyota harness and the rest is very easy.

    I don't have JBL system so it's easy to do
