1. Take a mechanical key out of the keyfob. Keep mechanical key with you. 2. Take a piece of aluminum cooking foil and wrap your fob 3. Hide this foil-wrapped fob (anywhere) in the car. 4. Lock the doors using the button on the door. 5. To open the car use the mechanical key 6. To start the car unwrap the fob. - Alex
Use his embedded geo-locating device to pinpoint him down. I mean if you can't leave your keys sitting around I don't know if I would want a kid running around with 24/7 surveillance.
When they started busing from the train station the park went down hill quick. I knew the old head of security and he said the first day they started busing they had robberies and un lawful touching and in the previous 5 years they had maybe 5 criminal acts now the Riverhead cop are there almost everyday. But it is getting better cause of the zero tolerance practice. now I have to figure out how to start it with out the fob the joy of a new car
Hold the fob against the start button and push in the start button. I did it once when my car decided that it couldn't find the fob. Car started, fob battery wasn't dead, and this hasn't happened again.
This doesn't really address your question but, this past Sunday my family and I went to our community pool and we drove my wife's car; we than proceeded to stake out our area w/ chairs etc; we set our stuff down and into the pool I went..... 20 minutes later in pool w/ wife and I discover car keys in my swimsuit pocket - ugh!!!! She' s showing utter angst and I'm thinking to myself ( Wth, did I really just do this?...). I tell her calmly not to worry, all is good. I took key out and set key and FOB in direct sun for the next 30-40 minutes. Told her that I'm going to car to test the FOB and on the way she said " you'll owe me a new one..." FOB worked fine - all functions. Not one hiccup. I think they're a bit sturdier than I previously thought. Now I don't recommend that everyone take their keys swimming with then, but mine survived.
Not me . somebody posted here on the Priuschat about washing his fob. If you take it apart you will see it's pretty well made... rubber seals etc.
Without a battery......it's pretty easy! Without a FOB? You don't. Your car becomes a 3200-pound lawn ornament until you either get the other fob or call a tow truck.
