I received a postcard from United Auto Defense trying to sell their vehicle service contract by referencing a phony TSB (190A154917). The pitch is that if the repair protection is not activated by the given date the owner will be financially responsible for vehicle repair cost after the warranty expires. I'm thinking of filing a complaint with the county's Consumer Affairs Office.
I get them at least once a month, then shred. I can't tell you how many times I have seen little old ladies come into the service Dept. and ask about why they got those notices. These outfits "Troll" the DMV records to get the information, sure gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about how my info is protected by the DMV.
