With the car off and me standing at rear hatch and it is raised I pushed the latch closed manually and I cant figure our how to release it back to the unlatched position. I tried the door locks to no avail. as an aside I was doing this to troubleshoot why my alarm is going off alot. I have a relative new yellowtop battery installed and will replace the fob battery later.
theres a manual release ..go in through the rear door and pull up the spare tire cover..theres a slot where you can move the lever...instructions in owner manual as well
thanks fellas hatch is again operational, while troubleshooting my alarm I removed the 10 amp horn fuse to buy me some time, oddly the alarm tripped and can you believe it, a horn sounded! Is there a second horn dedidicated to the alarm system? The fuse I pulled is on the block, right side 3rd one down....
