For those that added a different GPS app...were you able to get the hardware button to bring up your new app?

I deleted my IGo app. Then you can assign a gps app for the navi button

I keep the IGO Primo but not use it much. Currently I have Google, Igo Primo, Waze.
In Settings...GPS...GPS Aplication Options, Select WAZE and the Nav button will bring up your selected GPS.

It looks like Waze needs a constant internet connection.

Waze needs a connection to search for places or new route. Once the route/address is saved in history or favorites, Waze will navigate without an internet connection!

Nokia HERE is awesome for gps too. Completely free. It can be used offline or with an internet connection for traffic updates.

I got Waze to work. But can't get Sygic maps or position to load. Just a dark screen. Plus the localization is weird...sometimes it switches languages. Is there a global localization setting for the head-unit? I can't find any...

Had the same experience with Sygic and gave up after about 6 hours.

Hit Weather Icon.....then hit + (plus sign with internet connection) to search for you town.

Then in Settings.......Date & Time...(uncheck all) because these are going to automatically localize the unit using GPS.

    Then Set manually:
    - date, time, time zone, 24-hour format, Date format

I don't know about partition, but I selected all downloads to be saved on micro sd card as opposed to the default setting: Let the Unit Decides!

Settings.....Storage......Preferred Install Location ......Removable Micro sd card

Gave up on Sygic as well. I don't understand why it doesn't work.

Thank you for the info on date/time.

Got Torque running. It required deleting the installed app and reinstalling a new fresh version to play nice with the ODBII adapter. I need to get the Prius specific codes on there now and transfer my dashboards.

The iGo app map updates might be a challenge without a PC. It seems that you install updates via a desktop application. Naviextras.com - Map updates for your navigation device and more...

I like the look of iGo but the map symbols, like gas stations, are not English. Wish I could fix this.

Bluetooth, iPod, tethering all works well.

Probably spent 6 hours in the Prius today playing with this thing...

    Nexus 7 ?

I like to use IGO in the evening. I did not think there was anything else at Naviextras since we have the 3D building landmarks.

Are your map symbols readable? Mine are not English. Appear Russian or something...

I just got my unit this weekend for a 2010 Prius V w/ JBL navigation. I just temporarily wired it up to see how the unit operates. Worked pretty well though there was a little hiss, but I didn't ground anything yet. The speakers worked fine, even sounded a little better than with OEM nav unit. It did stutter a couple of times when playing music and switching around different apps, but I did open quite a few things at the same time. Overall it was pretty sleek and intuitive.

I bought an OEM -> aftermarket camera harness to keep existing camera from ebay but doesn't look like it connects to the 24 pin OEM connection. I will try again, may just end up manually tapping the wires needed. There's a bunch of harnesses that don't connect i believe they are for the USB, Aux ,and satellite radio.

Did you buy the harness from ebay for 59$? I got the oem cam to work with this harness with just a little of solder thats all.

Yeah I did, was hoping it would just plug in, but figured it should work if you splice/solder the wires yourself. Thanks for confirming it will work.
