I just recently purchased a front g's bumper. Doesn't come with any mounting tabs or whatnot, nor does it come with the fog/blinkers (not a prob, going to go with an aftermarket HID housing).

I don't have the bumper with me as it's still on Japan awaiting shipment to a warehouse, but my question is whether the g's bumper uses the stock oem mounting hardware? If not, will Toyota dealerships here carry such parts? If anyone has information on part numbers on the g's front end, can you share that info please?

I'm based off the San Francisco Bay Area. Just wanted to chime in to all bay area folks ;)

Somewhere along the way, bumpers went from being protection, to a cash cow.

I'll go back under my bridge now.

This is about all the information I got with the auction I bought my bumper through.

    upload_2015-6-25_12-15-11.png

All of the original mounting hardware, screws, bolts, plastic pushpins, all works. This bumper bolts right in as a direct replacement. The original wiring harness required some creative hacking to adapt it. The skid plate is different. But the original skid plate might work, not sure.
I had to purchase separately the turn signals, DRLs, fog lights, brackets, tow hole cover, grill, etc.

I'm predicting 600-700. Buyee hasn't gotten back to me just yet and I don't expect them to do so until about 2 weeks once the bumper arrives at their warehouse.

Sucks, I have a FedEx account with a 75% discount on all shipping including international. Buyee seems like they don't do business / use FedEx, only UPS.

Buyee shipped my bumper via "FedEx International Economy Freight". The shipping weight was 13.23 lbs / 6 kgs. The shipping charge was around $780.

Hey buddy. @Derek77 is in Daly City and has the G's bumper installed as well. Check out his build thread if you can. Good Luck!

All the parts can be ordered through a importer or directly through the Japanese toyota dealership. The bumper is a direct fit. The only issue is that the stock skid pad does not line up with a couple of holes with the G's bumper. That can be remedied by ordering the g's skid pad I'm assuming. I have not yet messed with the turn signals yet as I have the led mirrors. But I'm planning to build a harness or just tweek with the stock harness to get it to work. You can also purchase the clear signals with the plug and splice wires

To fit your stock turn signal harness.

    @Accordlayingkit @Dylan Doxey

After denying the use of FedEx International Freight, I managed to speak with a Buyee manager and agreed to use the service to ship the bumper.

Doing some preliminary quotes on shipping, with no exact address from where it's shipping from (buyee hasn't given this info yet), I got the shipping down from $700 to $230 shipped to San Francisco with my FedEx discount. ;)

I'm still waiting on the exact location for pickup so these numbers may vary a bit.

@sfv41901 was also able to negotiate lower shipping costs. But $230 is outstanding!

Wow, how did I not see this thread?

I ordered my bumper as a complete package (ie: bumper cover, tow hole cover, amber signals, lower LEDs & associated brackets........most importantly the wiring harness)

Buyee charged me ~$700 to ship the rear bumper via FedEx which shipped out first.

They were having trouble getting a quote on the front bumper via FedEx so they tried UPS. Their quote was over $3k. I politely declined & insisted on FedEx which they did. Quote was over $1k. They knew I was desperate as I expressed that my car was already in the shop, which was true, I was desperate but not stupid. I told them in not going to pay $500 over what the rear bumper cost. I know the front was a lil bit heavier due to all the lights & brackets but not $500 more. Final shipping was $900.

This is how I received my front bumper

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    This is today

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    To sum it up

    ¥80,000 + $900 front bumper
    ¥40,000 + $700 rear bumper
2 tone Blizzard Pearl / Black Paint $$$

    Being unique.......Priceless

Have you yet considered the possibility of getting the upper bumper panel done in matching carbon fiber?
