I took this pic last Saturday. My car was parked for only 2 hours on the roof of a hotel on the strip.
The EV portion was 3.7 miles; the total trip was ~ 20 miles. I'm not sure where the thermometer is in the car but it is not indicative of just the ambient temperature. Any reason OP is not cracking open windows for ventilation rather than turning his car into a greenhouse ?
That is ridiculous. Favorite saying of the locals: "But everywhere is air conditioned and you're barely outside!"
It's not too far off the actual air temperature. The daytime high was close to 43°C/109°F but official WMO says temperature is measured 2m off the ground and the car is closer to the ground so that is very possible.
