Just want to share my new HeadUnit mod with all your fine folks here. I got the unit from aliexpress and camera hardness from ebay. So far everyting working great. Cons: 1.Radio signal some what ok but sometime fuzzy( dont really use radio anyway, internet radio for me) 2.Dont leave your unit in the bright sunlight (97f)for long time because after that the unit will turn on but nothing function unit cool down(like 5-10 mins). I used sunshade cover so this will eliminate that issue. I think even if you put your phone to the sun for long time will make it act like this i think. Pros: 1. Everything look and works great. 2. Sound sound great. 3. stock look and oem camera. 4.cheap upgrade with everything loaded. Head unit from aliexpress. Speak to coco and use my username tangokim to get discount. Steering controls work? Is it fast and snappy? I was considering buying one of the android auto units but this may be a better bang for buck
The steering seem the same to me as it was hooked to stock unit. At this point I'm very happy to get all this working

Do you have oem camera? Because i uses oem camera with the harfness from ebay link above. That harness create a step down power to the camera and only required a few steps to get the camera n everything works
I have the aftermarket 12v rear camera installed. The unit has a reverse-in line that triggers when shifted to reverse. If you don't mind how did you tap the reverse-in wire to the head unit backup camera harness. I noticed that you tapped your (reverse in) to the purple wire. I'm just wandering which pin on the connector that the purple wire was coming from. Thanks.

Thanks, great post! Congratulations on getting good it working! I bought the same unit. I love it. However, I have 2 issues. The steering wheel controls plug from the new stereo (the one with 3 wires), doesn't fit the car harness. So, is that why you cut and spliced it? If so, how do I know which wires to splice. They are labeled Key 1, Key 2, and ground. I have 3 plugs from the car that are not being used. One is the steering wheel controls(not sure which one though). The other 2 I don't know the function but one harness has a lot of wires and may control vehicle settings? You said at 3:10 in youtube video you bought another harness? Is that what I am missing?
