I don't mind the look of the green model - weird headlight config, though. That front piece fore of the front wheels looks like it could fall right off. Don't at all like that grille on the blue version. What I feared with their recent odd front designs. Just noticed no gas or electric plug doors in the drawings. Both are very Prius-like, overall.

Seems to match the camo'd car sightings of recent.

o_O The sport Focus is the ST. Chevy uses RS for their sportier trims.
Come on, if you are going to abandon Toyota, get up to speed on the other brands.:p

I think I'd opt for the Fiesta ST. Subcampact with the 'small' Ecoboost from the Fusion.

Wrong, Ford Focus RS coming to the U.S. Of A in the spring of 2016,

    Car and Driver

    AWD
    315+hp
    Tq vectoring
    Etc...

    ;)

I used to own a SVT Focus, and a few other turbo hatches and a bunch of other fast / Muscle cars...I am well up to speed on what's out there and what's coming down the pipeline... It's almost obsessive how much I keep in the loop. Lol.

2017 Mazdaspeed 3 is another option, but not if they keep that stupid new egg shape of the new 3's.... (I owned 2, Speed 3's back to back).. If subaru makes another hatch STI or WRX I might consider that too.

Oh and I did do a couple test drives on the Focus and the fiesta ST but want to wait and see how the RS pans out.

The Fiesta ST made the top ten of drivers' cars in one of the mags(I only get to read them in doctor office waiting rooms).
The Focus ST from the previous year had to be taken home on a flat bed. The torque vectoring ate up the brakes under extended race conditions. The Fiesta doesn't have it, which I guess can make the car more fun for some.;)

No no no, ain't going anywhere for quite some time (or until 3yr /36k miles are up at least) Wife would leave me if I buy or sell any more cars like I used to. Lol. I just hope the Gen 4 doesn't look like those pics is all...

I am quite content with my Gen3 Persona and my wife's Gen three v three. :)

I would suggest Toyota upgrade Cycle to a Lexus-spec seat (special order)or they are going to: read it and weep!:D

One thing I noticed about the new pictures from Thailand. In the first picture, either they have really built up the covering to give it curves it doesn't really have or that's not the actual gas cap. Of course, the easiest possibility is the first.

So if people are making guesses - and rederings - based on the spy shots, there's a very good chance the subtle curves are wrong.

I noticed that too. Looks like a major effort to hide the underlying shape.
