Just got my new 2015 prius a few days ago. Paired my phone and everything was working fine. Just yesterday bluetooth starting turning off about 30 seconds after I turn on the car. When I got to set up bluetooth the screen says bluetooth off, but can't change it. Is there a way to manually turn it back on? Any body has had the same problem?
my problems turns out to be due to a mouse's nest being found near the fan blower..likely the rodent has chewed through wiring.
I am having the same problem. Worked fine for a year and then a couple of months ago this same thing started happening. Once it drops and the car shows bluetooth off, I can't reconnect my phone without turning the car off. I have tried to open entune before starting the car to make sure the app is running but it doesn't make a difference. It seems like mine disconnects after I start driving and go above a 25 or 30 mph.
We had another thread discussing this. Bluetooth Problems with Galaxy S4 | PriusChat It seems to affect Verizon Samsung Galaxy phones that have the lollipop android update. Is that your situation? As you can see on the previous thread, I had Best Buy reflash the update and that helped temporarily but the problem has recurred. Hopefully Verizon is working on a fix.
I stumbled upon this mysterious " Prius bluetooth off" issue today and this solved the problem right away. ( 2012. Prius Plug-in Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ) The solution comes from SID000. She found it at an android forum. Bluetooth Paired devices Settings Disable text Thanks for helping each other.
I have a 2015 Prius also and my bluetooth was shutting off 100% of the time as well. I deleted the pairing and paired it again as a new device. During the process, one of the option was to allow for "Text/Message" access. I made sure this time to select NO. I have to say after 4 months with this bluetooth challenge, this problem has finally solved for me and I have been content for 2 month now. I hope this helps others.
This worked for me as my phone wouldn't stay connected to Bluetooth with my 2015 Prius for more than a minute. I unpaired the phone from my car, reconnected and declined the texting feature prompt on my phone. Works flawlessly now.
