Dear all Priuschat members , want to ask anyone here have open their traction battery ? Open mine today to clean found out missing 2 black hose to prevent gasses from coming out , quick check online Prius have the hose on their traction battery . Can anyone double check theirs thanks
Well, your Prius c is missing it. I'd guess they screwed up during assembly; that there's supposed to be hoses. Google Prius c battery images? Maybe a hard one to report to dealership: would they frown on owners opening up their batteries? Not sure. Those hoses aren't cheap.
I meant "their" to be the car owner, but yeah: that's the way it feels these days: you open it up, you're screwed.
Actually our warranty already over , have check several Prius c all same without the hose . U should check urs to confirm
I've got regular Prius. A little strange that they dropped vent hose. Maybe the engineers found it was not needed? Second gen Prius owners have been noticing odours, possibly from the rubber itself.
if they save $10 per car by not putting in the hose and make 1 million cars a year Toyota just saved $10 million and the guy that suggest it gets an extra bowl of rice and a pat on the head for a job well done
Only smell I notice is from the vents with AC (refrigerant?) when first activated or heat (can't quite identify this oddity of an odor) usage, neither of which are pleasant. Weird thread. Nobody polled me.
