I wanted to see if I could get 600 miles this tankful. The pip started blinking at about 585 and I didn't want to push it further so I filled up with total tank miles at 590. The MFD read 62.9 and it took exactly 10 gallons ($30) to fill up. I'm sure I could have pushed it over 600 but I'm not really sure how many miles you can get on blinkie. My last tank was 61.5 so it's getting easier to get the EPA for city driving. So....stick that all you Hybrid haters who say you can't get near the projected MPG. Ken
That's awesome! I'm on my very first 50+ mpg tank (~4900 miles on the car) and am looking forward to getting at least 450 miles out of this tank, perhaps even more. The most I've ever gotten out of a tank was ~415 and I was down to 2 pips. I was uncomfortable with the fuel being that low and immediately filled up at the nearest station. I have this unfounded fear of somehow running out of gas, no matter what car I'm driving...
