Are the MFD hard buttons backlit?

    I looked for this in the manuals and on this forum, but don't seem to be able to find it. The hard buttons down both sides of our MFD are not backlit. This seems odd since even the buttons on the wheel have some lighting. Is it true that they have no lighting?

    It is true that the MFD buttons have no backlighting. Neither does the MPH/KPH or ODO buttons.

    Doesn't bother me, the MFD gives off plenty of light to see them all by ...

    The backlighting in the '05 is pretty much useless. Unless total darkness falls on the buttons, you can't depend on the light intensity to see the buttons. It doesn't take too long to memorize them, though!

    The buttons to the sides of the MFD are backlit on the 2004/2005. The buttons underneath aren't.
