Hi Folks. Wanted to share with you my wired issue with my head unit. I have searched everywhere, so far found one person with same problem.
Got a 2010 Prius with navigation couple days ago. No problems so far except, in mornings, on cold start head unit acts strange. If I press map or destination button on the right side of it, it skips music tracks that are being played or changes radio station. It glitches like that for about 15 minutes, than comes back to normal. turning the car on and off doesn't help at all. The unit had been replaced once under warranty by toyota dealer.
Here is the video from a guy that has exact same problem that I have.

    Any ideas?

This may sound like an old broken record for the regulars here but...........

Get your 12 V battery checked. If it is the original OEM one, just replace it.
Even if it doesn't fix the head unit problem, it's about due anyway.

I had the same problem with my 2010 Prius V Navigation / Radio system. It was an intermittent problem that was hard to duplicate, but when cold, pushing any of the map functions would switch radio stations. When warmed-up, the system would work fine.
There are other documented instances of this problem. I was requested by the dealer to make a video of the problem and send it to them. They verified the problem and Toyota (under Toyota extended Warranty) agreed to replace the radio head unit (they referred to it as the "Radio Assembly"). Replacement is the only solution. If not under warranty you are SOL, as replacement at the dealer is about $2,000. I did see new units on Ebay for about $1,400 and used as low as $700. Note: these noted prices were for the JBL Navigation / Radio systems.

I've been dealing with the same issue for over two years on my 2010 Prius as well. The issue is unfortunately constant and I have no way to fix it. I've lost all functionality from the DEST, MAP, SETUP, and DISP buttons. It will either change songs, acting as if I'm pressing the SEEK/TRACK buttons, or it will bring me to the INFO•PHONE menu. This has unfortunately left me unable to sync my phone as a Bluetooth device among many other issues.

goto the diagnostic menu and check the button functions. it'll tell you what functions the head unit is being pressed.
