    Thoughts on Felt's post -

I think it's good it resembles the gen3 mostly. They need to keep it a Prius.

Exterior looks aren't everything, Everything else under the body panels will define how the car drives and how pleasing it is to be in, both of which matter to me.

Siu talked about a 20% curb weight reduction. That would be 600 lbs which is too much. Long as the car feels sturdier when closing a rear door or on uneven pavement that will help.

I think G4 will need to be a Prius in what it does best but if it is going to look 90% like G3, I can't see it selling double that of G3. At least I will be staying put till I hear about NS4 derived plugin or Gen 2 lexus NX. I will of course test drive G4 but to dish out £20k+ just for somewhat better handling and 10mpg increase - maybe not.

I like the look of my gen. 3 Prius, so don't get me wrong but still I hope that gen. 4 Prius does not look 90 % as gen. 3 because if I do purchase gen 4. one day I don't want to have the feeling I bought yet another refresh of gen. 3 . I want it to feel and look as a complete new car .
    Outside and inside !
I hope Toyota doesn't copy other car companies .
For example look at the VW Golf, it hasn't really changed for about 3 generations !
It seems to always look the same with only very slight changes .

I keep saying this but I am going to skip one generation and get the next instead.

I will be in the market for a new car in 2022. Please don't make my plan harder than it is.

Today I took my 2010 in for a routine oil change.

Naturally, I looked at the 2015 offerings. Just an opinion, but the front end on the new Prius c is absolutely hideous looking. Much worse in person than the way it appeared in pictures. What are they thinking? I sure hope that is not what Toyota thinks is more youthful looking.

I wonder if the front of the Prius c and v were both last minute attempts to deal with the new small overlap crash test, which debuted in 2012. The gen 4 spy photo certainly looks cleaner up front.

I've been away for a few days and just caught up with this thread. After reviewing the pictures and watching the original video again, I have come to this conclusion:

Another manufacturer has taken a Prius, modified it, wrapped it, and drives it around with a couple other Prii in tow just to draw the attention away from what they are currently working on. This is, by far, the best concerted effort of misdirection ever witnessed by a car company.

2016 Toyota Prius Spied in Thailand

Welp, the 'Prius spotted in Thailand' sure as heck doesn't look like the Hyundai. The hood is totally different for starters, Interesting they both have side view mirror mounted near A pillar, not on front door like gen3 Prius.

Sooo, another mfr. besides Hyundai and Toyota is developing a copy? ..... And no auto news agency knows about it
