hey i was at Lacey Cinemas in WA St last week for the Harry Potter flick and there was a Prius parked over by Brewery City Pizza. On the back next to the Prius emblem they had a Motortrend Car of the Year Sticker just like my Avatar. I WANT ONE TOO!!! if the owner of the car is reading this, please tell me where i can get a sticker like that to. or if anyone else knows of where to get one i would greatly appreciate it. The sticker was about 6-8" in length. i will even buy a one year subscription to the magazine if that is what it takes to get one.
Dave, For a short while the Prius was coming with those pre-installed in port. I think that was like December? They also sent them out in the mail to us early adopters. There was a lot of negative talk about them on the forums and most people found them pretty hidious and refused to put it on their car. I got one, I'm keeping it as a collectors item for now as I'm of the school that found it pretty ugly. You might be able to write to or call Toyota and ask for one or check at your dealer to see if they have any extra sitting around.
i give you 5 bucks for yours. after all, its ugly... you even said so... and my dealer said the same thing he says about everything i have asked him concerning the Prius and that is that they have no control over promotionals and cant inquire as to the availability of them.
:lolup: :tongue: Nah, if I wanted to get rid of it I'd just send it to you for nothing. I've got quite the little collection of original marketing materials and various and sundry '04 Prius memorobilia that I've been collection since the middle of last year. I think the MT sticker is kinda unique, if ugly :wink: , and just plan to hang onto it. I know a lot of people threw theirs away and I'll bet there's someone reading this board that isn't as big a nerd as I am but couldn't bring themselves to throw it away that would sell/send you theirs.
When we got our Prius in March, it was already affixed to the rear window, I suppose by the dealer. I didn't like it at first, but I've grown to love it. We're picking up a new Prius for my dad tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if his has one or not.
I got the Motor Trend bumper sticker as well. I think it was from Toyota along with one of the letters telling me to be patient. I put it on the a filing cabinet in my classroom. It looks good there. Jeff
One was installed on the lower back window when I picked up the car in April. It peeled off nicely and now resides atop my air filter compartment under the hood--a nice touch when showing off the hybrid system and, IMHO, much nicer than plastered on my new car.....
I'll go check my trash right now and see if the one I peeled off is salvageable!!! I also peeled off the dealer sticker - I am not a driving advertisement - those things really annoy me. OOOOHHHH found it!! wrinkled but maybe i can sell it on ebay with the folks who are selling their key rings
My wife peeled off my dealer sticker, too--leaving the "nice person" in Tallahassee on the car. Nothing else--just "nice person." Only walked past it a couple of times before I noticed it and removed the remainder of the decal.
