    That looks familiar. Could it be same salvage job described either here or on cleanmpg.com several years ago?

    This is what the rear bumper looked like on our '81 Civic:

    It was hydraulically mounted too.

    I don't know what the heck happened. I'd like to see MORE of these patch-up jobs on "flagship" vehicles, per the picture at top of page. Maybe shame the manufacturers back to bumper that WERE bumpers.
