Hi guys I am trying to wire something, my plan is when a door is open my side marker fender light will be ON as well as the interior lights, problem I am having is when I turned ON my side marker the interior light on my prius is ON too, how can anyone has any idea how to fix this?
If I correctly understand what you're saying... it sounds like you want to wire it how the puddle lights are done on our aftermarket signal mirrors. Those are wired to a constant 12v power source and a "trigger" ground which is the blue wire that can be found behind the a-pillar garnish, up near the headliner. Here is a post with a pic of that blue wire That infamous blue wire (negative trigger) does the magic of having the lights on when a door is open, off when doors are closed and not impacted by whether the dome light is turned on or off.
