Wth, are they copying the Volt 2? It better be bigger than the Volt 2.

Doesn't look too much different but does look larger than a regular Prius

It's hard to tell, but is the spoiler raised above the hatch window?

Anyone see an exhaust pipe or muffler? Neither is obvious on the initial video of this thread or on the other photos on this page.

Yes, it appears the car is about to be filled with gas on the first and there is what appears to be a fuel door on the usual left rear side on both vehicles.

Seems too far a stretch/conspiracy to disguise a full electric Gen IV Prius especially with official announcements of the most thermally efficient engine.

One more thing - look a the left rear "fuel" door on this sighting. The second photo set (new images on this page) has parallel horizontal line dimpling on that door, like the electric charging port on our current Gen PiP, whereas the gasoline fuel door on our model has no such dimpling.

And on the first video, the inner side of the "fuel" door has a white sticker. The current generation PiP has a mostly white sticker there for the electric charge port whereas the actual gasoline fuel door on the PiP has a yellow sticker on the inner side.

I think that could be the 4th gen Prius: It has 3g wheels (they would run them to disguise the 4g wheels til the last moment), but look at the fuel door, it's square and in a different place. 3g fuel door is round.
There's a definite angle between the hood and the windshield unlike 3g which is just about a straight line.
In the rear picture, the spoiler looks lower to ground than 3g. Roofline appears lower too.

I think pics are the 4th gen.

The trunk opening "mouth" is not U anymore but like V. It may not be as flexible to load wide stuffs.

The rear spoiler is much lower with the more sedan like shape. Seems silly to keep the glass under the spoiler at this point especially if all trim levels have the back up camera. I'm assuming the shark fin antenna and rear bumper corner flairs are for that more aggressive "sportier" look.

Yea, from the back it looks like a sedan.

Looks like they redesigned the Gen II, same roof line.

I'm not absolutely sure it is even a Prius? Isn't there a Hyundai being tested that bears a strong resemblance?

Maybe, but in both of these sitings, it looks like they may be traveling with at least one other Prius.

iplug - I agree. After I wrote and posted the comment, I looked on the Internet for anything about the Hyundai "Prius killer'" One sketch, looked exactly like the Prius, but several spy-shots, did not, although, if draped in cardboard and tape, it would be difficult to tell.

I have been anxiously watching and waiting for the G4 for well over a year. I have pretty much lost interest now. My 2010 is still performing well and delivering excellent milage. It still looks good, and I am feeling no rush to replace it. I will need new tires before too long, and if I make that investment, I will be driving the 2010 for several more years. Maybe the hydrogen Prius will be out by then.

Hyundai does it's best to copy just about anything. But the front of this model looked like a Corolla/Colt derivative. A little Prius/Volvo rear end, seems lower as well.
