Greetings to all! I finally pulled the trigger and got a 2015 Prius Two in Blizzard Pearl / Misty Gray from Autonation Toyota Cerritos. Got it for 23,832 OTD with 0.0% / 60 month. Put 5K down, so monthlys are about 315. I think it was a fair deal, I had a couple other dealerships tell me they couldn't do better. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the members here and eager to get started asap! I've also made a list of things I want to do and would appreciate any help from members here 1. Xpel Ultimate Clear Bra - that's actually what I do for a living, so I will be installing on my Prius tomorrow. 2. Llumar Ceramic Tint - not sure about percent yet, but I like the uniform look and will also get Air 80 Blue on the windshield. 3. All Weather Mats - gonna order the Grey Husky ones from the pruischat shop. 4. Leather Seat Covers w/ Seat Warmers - the Clazzio look like the way to go on a budget I haven't seen them in person but from what I've read, people really like them. Also not sure about what color combo I would get. 5. iPad / iPad mount - definitely want to know what are some good mounts and a good place to position the iPad without blocking the major displays or blocking the air vents. 6. HID / LED - need to do some research on these options too! 7. Illuminated Emblems - looks like prius chat has some good places for this. 8. Body Kit - I am looking into the C-West Front Bumper Lip (I like the Grazio front lip, but the shipping is not worth it to me), the Duraflex K-1 side skirts and 5 Axis Rear Bumper Lip. Those are the pieces that I like most for each side. I know, totally Frankenstein, but I'm hoping it turns out nice. 9. Black Roof and Black Shark Fin Antenna - got a good local painter and probably order the shark fin here on prisuchat. Gonna clear bra the roof after painting it so it won't have swirl marks. The Xpel Ultimate film has self-healing and the swirls will all disappear with warm water or heat from the nice California sun. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also looking forward to any meets with all the cool priuschat members. It will be great to see what everyone is doing and hopefully grab a drink together too! - Peter aka clearbrapro ps - anyone know what kind of rims these are?
oh well, too late! didn't want to pay 2k for a tiny navi and leather seats the rest of my mods don't seem too bad or expensive appreciate your opinion and any other help I could receive from you Thanks!
I think you did fine. If you like modifying and personalizing your own vehicle than buying the Prius Two makes perfect sense. Most of the modifications you are considering are things that wouldn't exist on higher trim levels anyway.
Welcome! I'm actually from So Cal too and just purchase a Prius Persona from Santa Monica for 22,300 plus tax a month ago. Take pictures when you get your tint done because I still need to do mine.
Welcome Aboard! Sounds like your nights and weekends are going to be taken up in mods. Enjoy the ride. Post Pics. Good Luck!
Welcome, with all the money you save on gas, you'll be using that on all your mods (lol). You'll be hanging out on this thread soon Gen III 2010+ Prius Accessories and Modifications. The mod bug will be biting soon, Cheers!
How much does Xpel Ultimate Clear Bra cost for Prius? Congrats on your Prius (I got my 2015 Prius 2 a week ago!)
Congrats and welcome I have the Prius 2 also. 2013 former Hertz rental car. Just got it a few weeks ago; $10,800 out the door; but that's with LOTS of haggling and trading in my old ride; 2005 Honda Civic. So I figure I'll put some money into in some upgrades. Some of the ones you listed; the shark fin for sure, got the tint and new Michelin energy savers, led bulb upgrade. I'll see if I can find the link and attach it to the post; weathertech side window deflectors, rear bumper protector, etc. Mostly basic, minor upgrades. At 50 y.o. I'll probably pass on the body kit; a bit too flashy for my tastes Again, welcome and congrats.
lol. Yeah I guess you're right. I did actually come across a pretty neat body kit that wasn't too far out there; just more aerodynamic and added some clean lines. But right now just concentrating on basic upgrades.
yeah, the Persona was very tempting but the seats were a bit bland for me SAT! I've been there a few times for training for clear bra. The guys at Xpel are GREAT! Hope that battery doesn't melt in that Texas heat Is there a way to keep them cool? Seems like you got a KILLER deal! and your upgrades are sounding good which kit? I can do Full Hood, Full Fenders (remove and reattach Hybrid badges for seamless look), full bumper, lights and side mirrors for 1499 installed OTD. Believe it or not, that bumper and the headlamps are TOUGH! I use the Xpel kit (one piece bumper) not the Proform kit (two pieces bumper). The proform is much easier to install. Merged all 4 consecutive posts, we have a multiquote feature Finally got a few mods done: 1. clear bra - clearbrapro.com - that's me Xpel Ultimate w/ 10 year warranty covering cracking, peeling, fading, staining and yellowing. Also has self-healing technology. 2. 5 Axis wheels - friend hooked it up a set of new wheels for 135 each and had them powder coated gold for 75 a piece 3. Tint - Llumar Prestige Ceramic medium on all the sides and Llumar Air 80 Blue on the windshield 4. Opticoat - on the paint and on the clear bra 5. Cup holders - got it from Marukai in the South Bay (thanks for the rec hawaiianbuilt!) 6. Blind spot mirrors - Carmate on amazon 7. Cell phone holder - proclipusa mount and Arkon Mega Grip holder 8. Dark Grey chrome painted badges 9. Husky All Weather Mats - maybe should have spent more and got Weathertech? I thought they would be about the same. I haven't seen the weathertechs, but I don't really like the feel / look of the Husky brand. hays Taking it nice and slow and YES I need to lowering it is the next mod Will post better pictures after getting: coilovers, carbon fiber roof and shark fin. Also waiting on my clazzio order from Rodney Looking forward to learning more from all the great members here!
well basically what I've done to my car is......drive it from the dealership and add 17" stock wheels to it. LOL
