Try talking with Toyota? It should be transferable unless the contract papers with the original sale says otherwise. After all, I'd presume Toyota paid for the service for 3 years up-front. Also, are you talking Entune or XM? I don't think they are two and the same. Entune is a package of apps (which might now be lifetime and not just 3 years...you just pay for how much data it uses on your cell phone). XM (IIRC) comes with only a 3-month trial period. You have to subscribe if you want to use it beyond that. If I read your post right, it's YOUR XM account, not the new car's account. So, they should be able to transfer your XM account to the Prius, but no, there wouldn't be an existing period (other than the 3 months) you get just because you bought the car. BTW, nice ab shot. Used to live in Broward County myself about 20+ years ago.
i thought accounts were latched to a specific device. the only transferable accounts i've heard of were the lifetime ones. i don't really use it though so I don't really know. I also have a 3 year trial subscription to entune, but never used it once other than the one time i tried it when i bought the car and saw how awful it was...
Last I checked, Entune will now be free for lifetime, not just 3 years. Toyota - Entune Seen in the FAQ section:
This below is what Toyota finally got back to me with ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The three years are only for XM data services (weather, traffic, fuel prices, sports, stocks). For music, it's just a 3 month trial XM decided to start your data services again after this 3 month trial (music and data services) so that you can enjoy the free data services for 39 months in total. They offered that as a goodwill gesture for the troubles you had to go through recently. Thanks again for contacting us regarding your issue and have a wonderful day!
